News - Replacement of Tenterden Points

It’s been a year in the planning and today saw up to twenty volunteers from three departments commence work on a two-week project to replace Tenterden points. The benefits of this work are to improve the run-round facilities, to improve drainage on the track and to re-new the level crossing that so many local businesses use as access to their premises and indeed our visitors do to reach the car park.

Permanent Way and Project Manager, Geoff Crouch is extremely pleased with the first day’s progress and is keen to praise the staff from the Permanent Way, Operating and S&T departments, all of whom are volunteers and many have taken annual leave to be involved.
