Men & Women of the 10th Essex Regiment spent the weekend at Tenterden Station with displays of equipment, standing on guard and practising drill. As the images show a great weekend was had by all !

WHEEL AROUND TENTERDEN

The Rotary Club of Tenterden visited on Sunday for their annual sponsored cycle ride - the primary beneficiary being Macmillan Cancer Relief.cyclist arrive back at Tenterden Station - Sunday lunchtime

With four circuits to choose from with a range of distances from 6 miles to 40 miles, some emcompassing a train ride or a visit to Bodiam Castle many cyclists arrived to take up the challenge.

Husband and wife team, Bob and Sue Moreton took part. Bob raised £345.00 for Macmillan and the Parkinsons Disease Society, with half this amount due to the generosity of the landlord and regulars of the Crown Public House, St Michaels. Sue, on the other hand raised sponsorship for Macmillan and Kent Air Ambulance. Another rider, John Stembridge from Rye has raised over £1000 by completing the 40 mile circuit in three and a quarter hours. A friend of his boosted his sponsorship by £250 as John beat his time from last year.
