| Dreweatts auctioneers and the Kent & East Sussex Railway have got together to hold a fun day for enthusiasts and new comers alike. Dreweatts specialists Peter Rixon and Michael Matthews bring their 55 years of experience to Tenterden to value and advise people on their model steam trains, engines and toys whether it be ride on working steam models or their smaller toy cousins such as Hornby and Corgi. There will also be some working model displays and a chance to get close to some fantastic working models, be shown how they are made and see some of them in operation. Or have a go on the real thing and see how full size steam engines work. KESR will be running an exclusive service down to their engineering sheds at Rolvenden where there will be the chance to have a guided tour. So time to clear out your sheds and attics, bring your models along and have them valued and enjoy a great day out with KESR and Dreweatts. Dreweatts hold 6 Model Steam and Collectors auctions a year. These include some of the largest live steam model and engineering works of art auctions in the UK offering a full range of items including 7.5 inch gauge locomotives to miniature Hornby, Bassett Lowke and Corgi toys. Peter Rixon heads up the expanding Collectors Department at Dreweatts. In 2005 he wrote the Miller's guide to 'Collecting Diecast Vehicles'. Michael Matthews is a fully qualified chartered surveyor and a leading specialist in the model steam world with 45 years experience as an auctioneer. He is responsible for developing Dreweatts live steam and model engineering sales into market leaders.
